In a video shared to Instagram Friday, the American talk host got emotional when she said that it had been “really tough for everyone” ever since the DJ and dancer passed away. He passed away last week at the age of forty.
tWitch has been a guest DJ on The Ellen Show since 1999 and was a former contestant in So You Think You Can Dance.
Several US outlets reported that tWitch committed suicide, citing the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
In the video, Ellen told her followers: “I just wanted to say that the last 11 days have been really hard for everyone.
“Everyone is in pain and trying to understand it and we’ll never understand it. The holidays are difficult, I guess.
“But to honor tWitch, I think the best thing we can do is laugh and hug each other and play games and dance and sing. This is how we honor him. We do the things we love to do.
She continued, “And that sounds hard, it seems impossible. But it’s how we honor, hug and tell one another we love and let them know we’re there to support them.
Elaine stated that although it isn’t a happy holiday, she hopes others will think about the “magic”, and “send love to one another.”

Allison Holker Boss confirmed the news that tWitch had died on Wednesday. Personalities from the world of entertainment, including Elaine, paid tribute.

Jennifer Lopez, Questlove, Michelle Obama and Michelle Obama were among the many who remembered the American dancer/dJ. Lopez called him a “beautiful person”
tWitch is survived and cared for by his wife and three children, Wesley and Maddox.
