Alex Murdo, an outcast lawyer is on trial for June 2021’s murders of his son and wife.
Court documents that provide additional evidence regarding the timing of events and what occurred the night the Murdo family was killed have been released.

Murdo was eighth in a long line if prosecutors that dates back to the first elected official in over 100 years. But everything changed when he called 911 at 10.07pm to report the deaths of his wife and son.
Authorities discovered shell casings on the scene. They said that Maggie and Paul were struck several times, but initially didn’t find a weapon.
A timeline of events shows that Murdo called police dispatcher and said that he was there to find the bodies of his son, and his wife.
Mordo said to one of the messengers that “She’s gone” and added, “I just returned.”
The coroner found that Maggie and Paul died between 9 and 9:30 p.m. However, Murdo claimed that he spent the day caring for his mother and dementia-stricken father.
Three months later, Murdo was driving and his tire went flat. This was when the murder case began unraveling.
He stopped to change a tire, when a man driving behind him turned around and shot Murdo.

Curtis Edward Smith (61 years old) was arrested for assisted suicide, assault, battery, pointing, giving a firearm, fraud insurance, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud.
Investigators examined Murdo’s past and discovered that he had been involved in fraudulent business transactions. Murdo was arrested on November 19, 2020.
He faces 27 charges, including breaching trust with fraudulent intent, obtaining ownership by false allegations, money laundering, forgery, and obtaining a signature.

Murdo must act within the ten-day deadline if he plans to defend “insanity or mental illness”, trap or compulsion.
Murdo’s attorney Dick Harbotlian said in July that his client wanted to speed up the trial “for a number of reasons — one of which, I’ve heard, is believed to be innocent.
Second, he believes that the killer or murderers are still at large. He wants SLED to end this and find the real killers.
Attorney General Creighton waters didn’t give details about what was in the video recording but told the courtroom: “The evidence is significant in this case.” It all comes down Alex Mordo.
