You love two people who are constantly smacking each other and would like to spend a day in the air watching that happen. Here’s how you can get to the Australian Open finals.

Australia has no Covid-19 restrictions at the moment. It is also not dependent on your vaccination status to travel to Australia.

A holiday visa is required to travel downhill for the enjoyment of tennis. Visas can be applied for free and processed in a very short time.

Flying

We offer two travel options to help you get to. Australian Open ChampionshipYou can choose to either arrive in Australia on Saturday morning for the women’s finale or leave on Monday afternoon following the men’s.

Option 1: Take off at 8:05 a.m. on Ryanair to Lisbon, and then enjoy a six hour layover in Lisbon. Turkish Airlines will then take you to Istanbul and Melbourne to ensure you arrive in Australia on Saturday morning. After the men’s final, you’ll fly with Etihad to Abu Dhabi and Heathrow Airport. Option 1, in economy, will cost £1,586 per person.

You can also fly with Malaysia Airlines to Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday night from Heathrow Airport. From there, it will take you eight hours to Melbourne and a five hour layover before landing on Friday. With Qatar Airways, the plane will depart Melbourne just after midnight Sunday. The reverse route will take you to London’s main airport at 3 :25 on Monday. The second option, in economy, would cost £1,761.

Hotels

Hotels in Melbourne are generally available for £230 or more per night on Australian Open weekend. The lowest available will cost you around £150, but if you’re traveling all the way, you can do so in style. A number of four-star hotels will set you back upwards of £350, but with that price comes a good location, ease of access and flexibility surrounding check-in and check-out.

Tickets

Tickets are still available for finals weekend in Melbourne. You can also enjoy live music at the Australian Open. But you’ll need tickets for the festival.

Weekend ground passes can be purchased for a touch over £30 with access granted to the venue but not to the grounds.

A ticket, while available on Ticketmaster, can be purchased for £182 for the women’s final on January 28, while a ticket for the men’s final the following day will set you back at least £538 – according to the ticketing platform. website.
