Walmart Will Require All Its Executives And Office Personnel To Be Vaccinated Project1199

Walmart will require all its executives and office personnel to be vaccinated against covid-19. The order will be effective from next October 4. Your store workers will have to wear masks again. Infections soar in the US due to the advance of the delta variant.

Walmart, the world’s largest supermarket chain and the largest employer in the United States, will require all its corporate staff to be vaccinated against covid-19, it announced on Friday. The requirement affects all company executives and office personnel, as well as employees who work at various facilities, and will take effect on October 4.

Walmart, on the other hand, told workers in its stores and warehouses that they must return to wearing masks and said it will double the incentive it offers them to $ 150 if they get vaccinated.

The measures come in full increase in cases in the US as a result of the advance of the delta variant and after the authorities recommended a return to the use of masks indoors in areas with high transmission.

In a message to staff, CEO Doug McMillon said the company will continue to monitor the evolution of the disease and adapt its plans based on the situation. Swaying back to normal
For now, Walmart expects most of its workers to return to their regular jobs by early September, although other large companies such as Apple have already begun delaying similar plans.

“In the country, vaccination options have been available for months, but unfortunately, since many people have decided not to receive it, we have left ourselves more vulnerable to variants,” the company said. “It is important that the necessary steps are taken to protect ourselves and our communities,” he added.
