Reporter Mark Woodley didn’t like being broadcasting from the heartland of the brutal blizzard which swept across the United States the day before birthday.

The severe weather alerts affect approximately 200 million people in the lower 48 States. High winds sweep across the country bringing snowpacks.

The nightmare that was just before Christmas was quelled by Woodley, a sports reporter who covered the Iowa morning shift of NBC affiliate KWWL this week.

Speaking into the wee hours of December 22, he didn’t hold back — instead compiling all of his biting quips from 14 live appearances during the three-and-a-half-hour broadcast.

Woodley has an exchange with a KWWL reporter asking him how he feels. He replied, “Again. The same way that I felt about eight minutes back when you asked me the identical question.”

Another reply soon followed: “I usually do sports, and everything here is canceled for the next two days, so what better time to ask the athletic man to come in about five hours before he usually gets up, wind, snow, and cold, and tell others not to do the same?” “

He even echoed sentiments shared by many who have had the unfortunate experience of having to get up at 3:30 AM.

Woodley later stated, “Watch me get more weirder” in a half-hearted effort to encourage viewers to keep watching.

Another clip shows Ryan saying, “I’ll Tell You Ryan, I’ve Got Good News and I’ve Got Bad News.”

“The good news about my face is that I can still feel it right now. The bad news is that it’s hard to believe I could not.”

Then he resorted to frank pleading: “Can I go back?

“Because it’s getting colder than it was two and a quarter hours ago, it’s getting colder.”

His witty commentary was appreciated, especially considering the weather reports in extreme conditions, which are often mocked on social networks.

Noted director Judd Apatow even hailed Woodley as a “legend” for his honest reporting — and he wasn’t the only one.

After becoming instantly famous online, He told Today.com:“Of all the things that I thought I would be remembered for in my life, the renegade weather reporter was not on the list.”

His unusual stint as a weather-predictor was due to staffing difficulties at KWWL at the time. He said that nobody had ever told him what he was doing. Now I thought maybe I’d be in the studio or in the car or something — not outside when The temperature is below 40 with the wind chill.”
