Whoopi was walking to her chair as filming began for Wednesday’s episode when she heard an excited audience member shout at her.

The camera pans to a group of women seated near the stage and then cuts to a woman in a large furry cap.
The rest of committee members laughed, while the audience was equally amused.
The 67 year-old Whoopi said, “She’s old,’ and then I was like, “Hey, Wednesday’s here and I’m old and glad that I did.”
Sunny Hosten, Sunny’s co-host, said to Whoopi that being “old-fashioned,” is better than “the alternatives.”
The Oscar-winning actress stated, “The alternative isn’t attractive to any one of us.”
“We all want to be old men and old guys, you know?”
The heckler may have been laughing, possibly referring To Whoopi’s book Two Old Broads, Stuff You Didn’t Know You Needed, co-authored by ME Hecht, MD. It was published three months ago.
This was not the first time Whoopi encountered hecklers while on set.
In October of last years, she began yelling “excuse me” to a crowd of rowdy people when Sen. Ted Cruz was giving a special appearance.
Climate change protesters began yelling inside the studio as the conservative politician was speaking. Whoopi intervened to tell them to stop.
“Excuse me, ladies. Excuse me, let us do our work. She replied, “We listen to what you have. But you have to go.”
You must go. You have to let us do our job.
The View is broadcast live on ABC in the United States.
