In 2021, 45,632 drivers lost their vehicles licensesThe result of scoring more points than 12 in the “sequel” procedure, which is greater than any other offense.
In 2021, driving or trying to drive with an excessive alcohol level was the second most common offense.
This led to 34,969 drivers losing the right to drive.

A total of 27,267 drivers were placed under a DG10 ban for driving or attempting the drive with a drug level higher than the specified limit in 2021.
The fourth most serious driving offense that results in a ban is driving while disqualified from a court order.
More than 8,000 motorists lost drivers’ licenses while driving or trying to drive. However, they failed to provide samples for analysis.
Research also revealed that 5,976 drivers were unable to obtain their licenses due to dangerous driving.
Ineligible drivers were registered in Yorkshire and Humber during 2021, which is the highest number in the UK.
North West England follows with 18,511 ineligible motorists.
London was home to the third-highest number of banned drivers in 2021 with 18,468 people being banned.
Motorcycling Outfitters’ research has shown that Kent is one the most dangerous areas for motorists.
South East England saw 16,244 drivers expelled in 2021.
South West Scotland however, registered only 206 ineligible motorists.
