The New York Times raised their full-year forecast due to its digital and print aggregation strategies.

The media group saw 180,000 online subscribers increase in the three months ending September, which helped boost its third-quarter estimates.

The publication combined its print and digital offerings with its newly acquired crossword puzzles and sports website The Athletic.

Analysts expected revenue to fall below $547.7 million. However, revenue continued to rise over the previous quarter.

CEO Meredith Cobit Levian claimed that this was the company’s strongest quarter in terms of subscriptions. This quarter saw more than a thousand customers get multiple products.

Levine stated that the group plans to increase individual product prices in order to get more people to sign up for our package during an earnings call.

ValueAct Capital Management, an activist investor, is relieved by the news. They have been trying to increase profitability through pressure.
