The Teruel City Council has approved this Thursday in an extraordinary plenary session the modification of tax ordinances for 2022, which is specified in a reduction in taxes and fees and the freezing of public prices.

The measures to be applied consist of the tax reduction of the Real Estate Tax (IBI) through bonuses with 30 percent for the installation of thermal or electrical use systems from solar energy, and a 50 percent discount for residential properties for social rental.

Regarding the Economic Activities Tax (IAE), a 60 or 80 percent discount will be given depending on the number of workers, to companies that during the year 2021 have maintained the number of employees on their workforce.

For the third consecutive year, a new reduction in vehicle tax is established, with a 6 percent reduction in all rates, thus accumulating a 12 percent decrease.

In addition, the acquisition of electric vehicles and / or zero emissions and plug-in hybrids with a zero label is encouraged, as well as the renewal of vehicles.

Other taxes
Regarding the Tax on Constructions, Installations and Works (ICIO), facilities or works that incorporate thermal or electrical use systems from solar energy for self-consumption will be rewarded.

In existing buildings there is a discount of 50 percent and new construction from 10 to 50 percent, depending on the case, the Teruel City Council has informed in a press release.

Regarding capital gains, tax credits are increased in cases of transfers of housing due to death, going to 95 percent, and tax credits are increased in cases of transfers of premises related to professional activities due to death going to 75 percent.

In addition, the fee for the use of spaces in the new sociocultural center is incorporated with prices equal to those of other municipal buildings, except for some novelty due to the type of classroom or users, the rates in the sports facilities are kept frozen, eliminating Disused rates and unifying others, creating a daily rate for sports activities and the civil wedding rate is reduced by 50 percent in the event that both parties are unemployed at the time the rate is effective.

Finally, the bonuses in the IBI and the rates of the Municipal School of Music, the Municipal Infant School and the sports facilities of single-parent families and large families are equated.
