Record label Migos has confirmed that Takeoff died from a stray bullet.
Kersnick Khari Paul is the real name of Bad and Boogie rapper. He passed away in Houston on Monday at the age of 28A shooting occurred at a bowling alley, where he was enjoying an afternoon with his uncle, MigosQuavo member, and dozens other friends at a private event.
Houston police confirmed Tykov’s passing at the scene. Tykov’s two companions, a 24-year old man and a 23 year-old woman were also taken to hospital. They are expected to make a full recovery.
Authorities are currently looking for witnesses to help them and do not have any suspects in custody.
The incident was captured on social media. It shows Takeoff standing calmly while others on the set fought.
Migos’ quality-control record label released a statement, “With broken hearts and deep sorrow we regret the lossof our beloved brother KersinkKhari Paul, also known to the world under the name Take Off.”
“Senseless violence and a single bullet took another life out this world, and we are devastated.”
“Please be kind to his family and friends as he continues to grieve,” she said.
On Tuesday, the Police Department held an official press conference to confirm this. An investigation was opened into his death.
Police Chief Troy Viner stated that a man had died as soon as officers arrived. This man was identified by Kirshnik Ball, also known as Takeoff. He is part of the rap group Migos from Atlanta.
Many people called me from Houston and beyond. Everyone talks about this young man and how peaceful he seems to be. What a great artist. I’m calling all the hip-hop artists from Houston and across the nation.
“We must be disciplined. I am proud to be a part of this community and admire the many talented people. We must all stand together and ensure this industry isn’t torn down.
Also, footage was captured from the moment Quavo tried to help his nephew while he lay motionless on a ground after the shooting.
Along with Quavo, Offset and Takeoff, Takeoff was a founding member in the Migos. The group gained fame after Drake remixed Versace’s 2013 song. They then continued to enjoy success with songs such as Bad and Boujee and MotorSport and Stir Fry.
Migos had 2 number one albums on US Billboard 200 and topped Hot 100 with Bad and Boujee.
The entertainment world was overwhelmed with honors, with Drake, their long-time friend and collaborator, sharing a touching Instagram message that said: I have the best memories of seeing all of the world together and shining light on every city that we touch. . This is what I will focus on now 😔 Rest in the comfort of an astronaut[off]”.
