
AA University of Kentucky student has been expelled from an internship and plans to drop out of school. He had hurled racial abuses at a working student.
This news comes following a drunken episode in the which Sophia Rosing, 22 years old, was recorded using racial insults against Kylah Springs, a student of color who was working a nightshift on the University of Lexington campus. Ms. Rosing is accused of assaulting Ms. Spring after she was denied entry into Boyd Hall because she failed to prove her identity.
Students have condemned Rosing’s brazen attack and made it viral. As more information is revealed about Ms. Rosing’s role at the University of Kentucky, President Eli Capiloto is calling for her expulsion.

Ms. Rosing was booked into Fayette County Jail following the incident that has now spread. She posted a $10,000 bail and was released on Monday.
She pleaded not guilty and was therefore denied entry to Boyd’s residence hall and contact with Mrs. Spring.
Rosing is being called upon to face hate crime charges following the viral spread of the video.

They are not civil discourse. They are in stark contrast to who we are and what we have always wanted to be as a society,” the university president said.
