After her hit song “Rocket Man” was voted the top in a reader’s poll, Queen of Pop Britney thanked the Rocket Man singer.
The track is marked The return of the American pop star to musicAfter a 13-year restoration, it was launched in August last year and proved popular with both sides.
To me paintingThe song peaked at number six in her Hot 100 chart. It received 45% of the total vote. This was “likely due to fans’ desire for a much-deserved Britney comeback”.
Sir Elton responded to the news via an Instagram post. He wrote: “A big thanks to Billboard and the readers and all of the ‘Hold Me Closer” fans who voted their favorite song for 2022!!

Hold Me Closer also reached No. The solid mix at No. 3 on the UK charts combines Sir Elton’s 1971 hit Tiny Dancer and his 1992 song The One. Parts of Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, from 1976, also feature in the song.
Sir Elton previously stated that he would like to collaborate to “enlighten everybody” that Britney, 41 years old, is “one the greatest pop stars of the world.”
Sir Elton, speaking to Zoe Ball on Radio 2’s breakfast program, said: “If anybody needs to put a arm around her and get to what she is doing, it’s Britney.”
The veteran musician, 75, added: “What I wanted to do when I completed (the song) was let everyone know that this is one of the greatest pop stars in the world, one of the biggest stars in the world.
You should go back. She experienced an awful time that no one should ever have to go through.
If this was the way to make another record – a Britney-Spears record – then that’s what it should turn into (the song).
It is as Sir Elton prepares to perform his final UK show at the Glastonbury Festival. He concluded his North American tour in November 2021 with three concerts at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
