Signing Of The Mobility Agreement Between Six Of The Member Universities Of EUTOPIA Alliance

The Pompeu Fabra University hosts from November 22 to 26, in Barcelona, ​​?? the first face-to-face meeting of the EUTOPIA alliance, one of the pilot experiences of the European Universities Initiative, promoted by the European Commission, after the pandemic forced limit travel. Called EUTOPIA Week, it will be attended by the rectors of the 10 member universities of the alliance, as well as the participation of more than 200 representatives from all the universities.

The opening ceremony of EUTOPIA Week, open to the assistance of the media, will take place on Monday, November 22, at 12.30 pm, in the Saló de Cent of the Barcelona City Council. It will have the presence of Laia Bonet and Jordi Martí Grau, third and sixth deputy mayor of Barcelona, ​​respectively; Victoria Alsina, Minister of Foreign Action and Open Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya; José Manuel Pingarrón, Secretary General of Universities of the Ministry of Universities, and Themis Christophidou, General Director of Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission.

Also participating in the event are Eva Wiberg, president of the EUTOPIA alliance and rector of the University of Goteborg; Oriol Amat, rector of UPF, and Josep Lluís Martí, UPF commissioner for Planetary Well-being.

On the other hand, on Tuesday, November 23, at 9:00 a.m., the signing of the mobility agreement between six of the EUTOPIA alliance universities will take place in the multipurpose room of the Mercè Rodoreda building on the Citadel campus of the UPF. The event will be attended by the 10 rectors of the member universities and is open to the attendance of the media.

During this event, Babe? -Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) will officially sign the institution as EUTOPIA’s tenth partner.
