A video of a man abusing his 9-year old daughter has been found New ZealandIn 2016, the global search was launched for the little girl.

Interpol was contacted and the manhunt was eventually incorporated the FBI, US State Department, and Department of Homeland Security. Months later, detectives raided this busby. ArizonaThe house of Paul AdamsHe was arrested and the girl was rescued by her five brothers.

While Adams could no longer physically harm his daughter — he died by suicide in custody — the videos are streamed, downloaded, and uploaded by child pornographers across the US and around the world, growing in popularity even as police, prosecutors, and internet companies chase after them in a futile attempt. To remove images.

According to data provided by Nancy Salminen, Adams’ adoptive mother and the girl, the number of times Adams’ video has been viewed increased from less that 100 in 2017 to 4,500 per year in 2021. The National Center for Missing & Explored Children produced this statistic. It is a non-profit organization that monitors child pornography on the Internet. They also work with law enforcement agencies around world.

Salminen stated, “That’s what’s most horrible.” “You can’t just say this in the past and close the door and move on. She won’t be able to turn her back on what happened.”

It was possible to avoid continued abuse of the child.

Six years ago, the video was first shown in Oakland by Adams, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. MormonChurch, to his bishop that the father had abused his daughter, who he identified APLike MJ.

The prominent lawyer of the church asked the bishop to keep the attack secret. MJ was then brutalized for seven more years. She continues to be victimized almost every day in a different manner today, with video of Adams and others circulating online. An August Associated Press investigation revealed details about the cover-up by Mormon officials of Adams’ rape.

The AP also has data that shows Adams’ video or portions were referred to NCMEC by police in the US 1,850 times since it was found. This contributed to almost 800 arrests for federal child pornography charges within the past year.

The arrests include a coast-to-coast catalog of men—and women rarely trafficked in child pornography, the data shows—that defy economic or geographic boundaries.

Computer slimming has its limitations

Adams’ video is an example of how computer espionage can be overcome by a global network that aims to stop Internet child pornography.

Experts in pediatric abuse say it is almost impossible to permanently remove images from the internet because pornographers all over the world are downloading, storing, reposting images.

“It’s why the whole type of crime is so disgusting,” Simon Peterson, a New Zealand customs agent, stated during an interview with The Associated Press. He stated that victims of Internet child pornography must wake up each morning knowing that they are seeing images of their worst times and that people are reaching for comfort.

Adams’ case highlighted an inexplicable loophole in child abuse reporting laws. Adams, a Mormon Church member admitted that he had abused his daughter to John Herod in 2010. Arizona’s clergy are required to report pedophilia either to child welfare officers or police.

Merrill Nelson, the lawyer representing the church, advised the bishop not to give any information to police or child welfare officials after he called the church’s “helpline”.

According to legal documents Nelson, who was also Utah legislator, cited an exemption in the state’s mandatory child sexual abuse report law that allows clergy members to keep information exposed during their confessions. According to The Associated Press, the so-called clergy penitential prive is in 33 states.

Adams molest MJ behind a veil of ecclesiastical secrecy and began raping her younger sibling five years later. This was when she was only six weeks old. He also took videos and photos of abuse, and posted them online, including the nine minute video that ultimately led to his downfall.

Peterson and his Oakland agents raided a 47-year old farm laborer’s home in November 2016. They had been monitoring the situation online for months.

Peterson stated that “he knew why” he was there. “By the afternoon, we had arrested him and interviewed him. We charged him with having exported and possess child sexual abuse material.”

Peterson found Adams’ video amongst the farmer’s videos. Peterson quickly realizes that the video might be new and that the child he filmed could still be in danger.

He can also see clear clues to help identify the rapist or his victim.

Peterson said, “We can see their faces from a start.” “And they were talking all the time, too. We could tell from their accent if they weren’t Canadian or American. So we could narrow it down pretty quickly.”

Interpol transmitted the video to National Center for Missing Children. It acts as a clearinghouse for international agencies investigating child pornography. The investigation involved several agencies until the US State Department matched a face in the photos to an existing database of passport and visa photos.

Six weeks after Peterson discovered that the video was in New Zealand, Homeland Security agents arrested Adams. They were working in Naco (Arizona) across the border, while federal agents raided Adams’ house, confiscating electronics, and rescuing six of his children.

Peterson said, “It was very emotionally.” “We don’t get very successful.”

Six years have passed since Adams’ nine-minute video was discovered. US law enforcement agencies have seized thousands images of MJ’s abuse and referred them to the National Center for Missing and Determined Children for positive identification. The NCMEC then indexed the identities and traffickers of the images and provided this information to MJ’s lawyers. They can sue each perpetrator for up $150,000 in federal civil law compensation, as well as any other compensation that may be available through criminal proceedings.

Lynn Cadigan is one of three attorneys representing the Adams children. She said that MG would seek compensation from child pornographers.

She and Salminen, Salminen’s adoptive mom, attributed most of the sexual assault to Mormon church officials. They knew Adams had molested MJ in 2010 but did nothing to stop it.

Kadigan stated that she went to church with people who were not helping her, and as a consequence thousands of people saw the video. “There’s nothing she can fix it,” Kadigan said.
