Rolls-Royce announced that it has exceeded its annual sales of over 6,000 cars for first time in its 118-year-old history.
It claimed that it had experienced “particularly strong year-over–year growth” in Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East.
A “single-digit” drop in sales last year was recorded in Greater China — which includes mainland China and regions such as Hong Kong — due to “continued headwinds” but that was “successfully offset by increased sales in other markets,” according to the maker. The Car.
Last year, approximately 6,021 cars were delivered by the company to customers. This represents an increase in sales of 8% compared with 2021.
Allocated commissions are also at record levels in 2022, as “customers are willing to pay around half a million euros (£440,000) for their one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce,” according to the BMW-owned company.
It also stated that demand for all models is “exceptionally strong”, with pre-orders secured up to 2023.
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, chief executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, has described 2022 as a “huge year” for the company, which is based in Goodwood, West Sussex.
