Pele, the great Brazilian icon, died at the age 82.
The three-time World Cup Winner has been admitted to Sao Paulo’s hospital since November.
Kelly Nascimento was Pele’s little girl. She wrote on Instagram, “Thank you.” We love you infinitely. Rest in peace.
Nascimento posted before Christmas that Pele’s family would be spending the holiday with him. He also added three sad emojis.
Pele, a 17 year-old Brazilian soccer player, made his debut at the 1958 World Cup.
His contribution to the 1962 finals, when Brazil retained their title, was affected by injury. However, he returned to Mexico to lead his country to glory in 1970 as part of what is widely regarded as his greatest squad. All times.
He has been suffering from a variety of health issues in recent times. In September 2021, he underwent surgery for a polyp in his colon.
This year, he was admitted to the Yisraelta Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo on November 29 with a respiratory infection and stayed there until his death.
Pele was an exceptional goalscorer. According to the official FIFA website, 1281 goals were recorded during his career.
There was so much to his game that many people consider him to be the greatest ever player.
While others could legitimately claim this title, such as Diego Maradona or Lionel Messi from Argentina, it’s impossible that Pele was not mentioned in any of the shortlists.
