NHS faces ‘biggest day of industrial action ever’ as ambulance workers and nurses strike

The combined power of both unions could result in 85,000 health workers striking picket lines, a number that dwarfs previous sanitary strikes.

More than 10,000 ambulance workers (paramedics and 999 call handlers included) will come outOn February 6th, 20 and March 6th, 20.

Rachel Harrison, GMB’s national secretary, announced further strikes and said that Downing Street’s “cold hands” were to blame for the escalation. She also stated that an offer of payment was the only solution to the dispute.

“Our message to government is clear – that’s it now,” she stated. “Ministers have made it worse by demonizing Ambulance workersWho provided life and cover to the parties during the strike and played political games by inciting fear among them.

This dispute can only be resolved by offering a payment. However, No. 10 and 11 Downing Street seem to be preventing this from happening.”

According to the BMA, if junior doctors vote in favor of strikes they will be made public Three-day strikeMarch

Ms Harrison stated that the NHS’s impact would be “likely to be massive” if BMA was to coordinate with ambulance unions. March strikes. Monday’s ambulance strikes will be continued by Unison and Unite members who will take to the picket lines. Unite is expected later in the week to announce additional strikes.

GMB negotiator stated that the union had renegotiated its demands. “We said,” he said. [to Steve Barclay, the Health Secretary]Make us an offre. Inflation bust and a promise to recover a decade worth of lost earnings. A down payment on that, and a retention package were our original requests.

“We are just saying, at the moment: make us an offer – talk with us. It should be an important offer. However, despite the fact that we saw more progress with Steve Barkley at their last meeting, it was not. He doesn’t have authority to discuss salary.

We are calling on the Prime Minister, Chancellor and other officials to resolve this matter.
