The second trailer for the animation Super MarioBros. Movie about tanooki suits, fireflowers and Mario – but there’s still plenty to talk.
It’s been less than a month since the launch of The first trailer for the Super Mario Bros. movieThere is a second one, which shows a lot more of what’s happening. This is a short glimpse into Mario’s and Luigi’s lives in Brooklyn. leaked earlierHowever, most of it is located in the Mushroom Kingdom. Everything looks very authentic.
The trailer not only shows Donkey (and Cranky!) Kong in its first appearance, but Shigeru Myamoto, the creator, has also confirmed that it will undergo a redesign, which will allow it to be used for future games.
Miyamoto also mentioned Donkey Kong’s 40th anniversary and Mario’s last year. Nintendo ignored this fact at the time, but there were numerous rumors pointing towards the existence of a New 3D gameIt was currently being developed by Super Mario Odyssey Team.
The Nintendo Direct trailer did not contain any other clues about future games, but it did include brief introductions of Anya TaylorJoy as Princess Peach (using an American accent), and Seth Rogen playing Donkey Kong.
Both looked excited. However, what will attract fans’ attention is the similar visuals to the original 2D video games. Many cutscenes mimic the side-scrolling action of the original 2D game. This includes details such as Cheep Cheeps leaping out of the water or platforms that disappear when they step on them.
Also, there was a shot of a Tanooki suit, a fireflower, several Yoshis and Bob-ombs, as well as a Mad Max-style Mario Kart race along a rainbow road.
It was a great fan service experience. However, it was also noteworthy that Mario barely spoke any Italian, so it’s still difficult to see how Chris Pratt’s non Italian accent would work. He whimpers “Let’s have a go” initially, which is clear that they want it both ways.
The movie will be released early April. There will be a third trailer, but not this year.
