Matt Hancock He said his relationship with Gina Coladangelo It led to the former Minister of Health “pouring a bucket of shit over my head”.
In an interview with mail + to coincide with his return from I’m famous In the woods, he renewed his pleas for “forgiveness” as he admitted his relationship with his assistant in the midst of the Covid pandemic was a “failure of leadership”.
After a video of them kissing in his office was released, the former minister was forced from office.
He said that they fell deeply in love and that his political judgment was incorrect.
He said that he wanted forgiveness for the mistakes he made in leadership at the end, when Gina and my love were so strong that they broke the directives he signed.
“I want to be forgiven for the human error I have done…but I am not asking for forgiveness for how I dealt with the pandemic.
“I got up every morning determined to do my best in the most impossible of circumstances until I needed to sleep at night. For 18 months, I did.
“There is a good, honest explanation for every decision you make, whether it turns out to be right or not.”

Hancock, who like Coladangelo was married with three children when they embarked on their relationship, said he wasn’t seeking forgiveness for falling in love with her “because I love her so badly.”
He stated that he knew that what was going on would have serious consequences that would affect our lives for the rest. However, he said that this was a close-up and that my political judgment was incorrect.
After it was revealed that he had appeared on the reality TV program while still an MP, he said he was subject to “horrific abuse.”
He said, “It was just too horrible, especially for Jenna.” “I love that woman and what do you get out of it? All you get is me.”
He added, “He poured a bucket of shit on my head. Gina received a bigger bucket of shit.
“She gave everything up except her children and just when she was trying to put her life back together, I lost a positive, unpaid charity position because I was working with I’m a Celebrity.”
He stated that he was “really happy” each day that the public voted him to stay. However, he missed his children “terribly” as well as feeling “guilty” for not being with Coladangelo.
He said, “I knew there was a chance the whip would be hung. After all, this is a precedent (when Tory MP Nadine Dories walked into the woods), but I didn’t expect it. Before coming here, I went out of my way and saw the chief whip.
Although I have not seen everything Rishi said about public service, I believe it is a noble profession.
“I believe it is vital that members of Parliament reach voters, especially large segments of people, especially young people, who don’t communicate through traditional media.
The interview takes place as Hancock’s memoir Pandemic. The Inside Story about Britain’s Battle Against Covid is published in The Daily Mail (and The Mail+).
