After a plea bargain, a man who shot Lady Gaga’s dog last year and took her Frenchie has been sentenced for 21 years.
Los Angeles County prosecutors stated Monday that James Howard Jackson did indeed confess to being one of the three people responsible for the violent robbery at Sunset Boulevard.
Prosecutors said Lady Gaga’s involvement in the theft appears to have been serendipitous. The thieves were not aware of the owners of the dogs and targeted them only for their high price.
Ryan Fischer, a dogwalker, survived the attack. He later said on social media that it had been a “very close call with Death.”
