John Lennon surprised Beatle fans with a birthday surprise – after the singer reappeared in a pint.
Lee Baker, 51 years old, celebrated his special day with friends in Liverpool.
After touring various sights in the city, the group settled down to have a drink on Matthew Street, home of the Cavern Club, where the Fab Four played early in their careers.
After staring at his cup, Li twisted and shouted for his friends.
John Lennon looked back at his colleagues from his glass, and it seemed as if he was staring into the face of the man.
The striking image of the light figure shows a clearly defined head and eyes.
Lee seized the opportunity to share the discovery on social media, where it was quickly shared with many others.
Shrewsbury train driver, Shropshire: “When I saw John Lennon in my companion’s pint, it was a little terrifying, it looked as if it were a sign.
It’s also made us laugh for years, and it’s been a joke ever since.
I was thinking of my business and saw it as I was.
He was younger than his bearded era of the 1970s, when he was cleaner.
“The fact that it was a Beatles weekend made this picture in the pint even poignanter.”
The father-of-2 traveled to the Beatles’ hometown along with Julie Baker, a 45-year-old teaching assistant, and two of his friends over the weekend.
The quartet captured the sights, sounds, and memories of the city by visiting the childhood homes and places of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, and the Cavern Club.
He said to me, “I’ve always loved the Beatles.” I grew in the ’70s. My dad and mom were Beatles fans as well, and that was the music I grew into.
John Lennon is my favorite Beatle. I like that he was a bit elusive, a genius and sometimes he was angry at times. He just sent his MBE directly to the Queen.
He was the leader, not the main man. Paul McCartney was equally talented, but John had the charisma Paul lacks.
Lee, whose favorite songs are “Here Comes The Sun” and “A Day in the Life and Revolution”, said that he is the only famous face he has seen in a drink.
He said, “Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any other famous faces before or since.”
“I will definitely keep an eye out in the future should anyone else show up.”
