Ineos has hired a new chief executive officer for its sporting branch

Jean-Claude Blanc, the new chief executive officer of Ineos, a British chemical company that is also a growing player in sports, has been appointed by Ineos.

Blanc will take over the role starting February 2019. He will be responsible for developing facilities and team facilities for Ineos’ franchises.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is Britain’s richest man and founded the company. He also founded several football clubs and has sponsorship deals in Formula 1, sailing and international rugby.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Chairman of Ineos, said, “I am delighted to welcome Jean-Claude as Chief Executive Officer of Ineos Sport with his many years of experience across various sports.

“We have high ambitions for all of the sports teams that have a special aim to raise our standards of football. Jean-Claude will bring a unique and pioneering style of leadership to all of them.”

Jean-Claude Blanc added: “I am very honored and proud to join Jim Ratcliffe and his fantastic executive team at Ineos. I look forward building and developing all Ineos’ sports assets and guiding each of Ineos Sport Board’s existing sports executive teams to greater success.

Blanc has worked as a marketing executive at Paris Saint-Germain, and was the former CEO for Juventus.

Blanc spent 12 years at Paris Saint-Germain and was most recently the club’s deputy manager.
