Decentralized network Hedera announced Agenda for Hedera Haus Davos 2023This year’s coinciding World Economic Forum (WEF).
Hedera Haus – an exhibition area in the heart of Davos – will open its doors at Promenade 71 on Davos Platz to host drinks and panel discussions with key players from the enterprise technology and DLT worlds.
Hedera Haus hosts a variety of speakers. will.i.amFrom the Black Eyed Peas and Starling Labs, IBM and ServiceNow leaders, University College London DLA Piper, and Ukraine’s leaders United 24Initiative is the main platform for charitable fundraising to support the homeland.
Hedera Haus offers a variety of exclusive and invitation-only events, as well panels, receptions, parties and other events that are open to all Davos attendees during WEF 2023.
The five-day initiative will feature discussions on the future and challenges of finance. Regenerative Finance Climate Innovation and ESG, combating disinformation, and mobility are just some of the topics that will be discussed at Davos.
Hedera Haus has been designated as a carbon neutral venue. Hedera purchased carbon offsettings through DOVU to cover flights, electricity use, shipping, food, and drink. DOVU will offer visitors to Hedera Haus the chance to offset their carbon footprint.
Brett McDowell will be the Hedera President & CEO. The session will be moderated at the Davos Convention Center by Dr. Neha Narula, Director at MIT’s Digital Currency Initiative. This panel discussion is the first to be held in the context of the World Economic Forum’s Digital Identity initiative, which was launched in 2022. It aims to examine how leaders can shape international identities policies to support financial, social, and health justice through digitization.

Tech Pioneers Breakfast, hosted by will.i.am
Will.i.amHe is the founder and leader of The Black Eyed Peas. He has also been involved in the launching of several companies, mostly in the technology sector, along with his music career. This invitation-only brunch is being hosted at Hedera Haus Wednesday, January 18th, at 7:30 AM.
The future of finance with Standard Bank and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine
Betsabe botaitis, who was recently appointed Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer of Hedera will be joining Yulia parkhomenko, Director of Virtual Asset Management, at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine as well as Ian Potter Head of Blockchain, Centre of Excellence, at Standard Bank Group. This discussion will examine how DLT can speed up and transparently transform the future of finance for a variety of use cases, including foreign currency (FX) payments, settlement via partner banks, customers, and counterparties involved with trades.
The future of mobility with Tony Beach, founder of Piëch Automotive
Hedera Haus will also host the founder of Swiss electric vehicle manufacturer Piëch Automotive, Anton (Toni) Piëch. Tony, who is the son of Ferdinand Piech (former CEO, Volkswagen Group), will share his insights about where the electric vehicle industry is today and where it should go in the future. Tony will be joined at the event by AY Young (singer, songwriter, and producer) who performed at President Biden’s inauguration. Founder of Project17, where he collaborates to create one song per 17 Sustainable Development Goals. AY powers his “Battery Tour” shows with renewable energy.
This session will examine sustainability, which is one of this year’s most hot topics at the World Economic Forum. It will include insights by Andy Gastwerth (DLA Piper’s chief Information Officer); Tasker Generes (Vice President of Vision and Innovation, ServiceNow); Nilmini Rubin (Creative Director and Head of Global Policy, Hedera); and Paolo Tasca (Founder and Executive Director, Center for Blockchain Technologies, University College London).

Hedera will sponsor this year’s annual POLITICO party in Davos, supporting a night of great conversation, drinks, and entertainment. This invitation-only event draws leaders from the media, business, and political communities to Davos.
