FRANKIE LAOR HAS FRIENDS IN A PAL

Racing fans in Hong Kong will have plenty to do this weekend. Sha Tin hosts a 10-race card that features six all-weather and four turf races.

The main Hong Kong meeting, the LONGINES INTERNATIONAL RACING, will be held next weekend. It is evident that the all-weather track is used to keep the turf fresh and clean. Sunday’s “C+3” turf course is only 20 feet wide.

Remember that horses who are close to or in line with pace have a track record of success on this course. Finishers sometimes need luck in order to navigate the lane just below their home.

It is the horse with the primary inner draw and who can race at speed. Companionwho seeks to challenge a penalty in Nathan Handicap (9.10am) for seven furlongs.

This progressive Australian chestnut gelding cost just over £500,000 a year, which comes as no surprise, being the son of Group One winner More Than Ready, who has proven extremely successful as a sire, with several Group One winners to his name.

Frankie Lower must be certain that A Pal will add to his track and long distance win last month. After the four-year old broke away from his competitors in the closing stages, and in doing so covered two furlongs in a blistering 23.49 seconds, Lower was able to beat them all.

Despite opposition from Major in All Riches and former Victory Spectacular winner, this model is the best to see.

Tony Cruz, California Redwood, viewed George Scott win two times as a coach. He was also known as George Peabody in England.

Based on last season’s encouraging efforts, he will likely improve and be able to make the tire.
