Practice whether you’re going to play three, four, or five in the back

The prestigious training complex in Southampton at Staplewood is considered one of the best in Europe. It confirmed its status as a pillar of the Premier League under the dynamic leadership of Hasenhüttl. However, stability caused a slump, and the alarm bells went off after just one win in their last 12 games last season.
The miserliness at the top meant new signings were not at Premier League level and Southampton have not spent more than £20m on a player since Danny Ings’ loan was made permanent in 2019. If they are to keep their position, things need to change quickly.
