This evening was taken just a few metres from the place where it took place in April. Wyatt suffered a heartbreaking knockout loss to Tyson FuryHe failed to defeat the WBC champion at Wembley Stadium in front of 94,000 supporters. Here, White, 34, looked like he was getting back on his feetwhere he met the undefeated British American Franklin.
Franklin was no longer defeated at the end, but Whyte did not recover with the spring he had hoped. The scorecards of two judges rated Whyte as the winner with 116-112 and 115-115 respectively. The Brit was quick to capitalize on his success by using vicious hooks to Franklin’s body. But, Whyte, 29, was skilled at fighting back whenever Whyte seemed to be building momentum.
The battle comes to an abrupt end with the winner appearing to be in the air. Franklin was sent to the ropes by White’s left hook in the final round. Franklin retaliated with concentrated shots. However, the American suffered his first professional loss. Whyte’s hand was raised, setting up a potential rematch with Anthony JoshuaWho was seated ringside.
