Two men were arrested for the crimes killingA nightclub stabbed a football player BirminghamBoxing Day
Cammy Carpenter (21), and Remy Gordon (22), were charged with the murder of Remy Gordon, 23 at the Crane nightclub, Digbeth, Birmingham just before midnight on Boxing Day. West Midlands PoliceHe spoke Saturday.
Both were from Birmingham and were placed in remand until they appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court on February 2.
Police say that Mr Fisher was stabbed at the nightclub’s dance floor. The club had its license suspended Friday.
Detective Chief Inspector Ian Ingram from West Midlands Police stated: “This is an important development in our investigative as we seek justice Cody and his families and friends.
“We’ve had great support from the public which has really helped us with our queries so far.
We are still open to hearing from anyone with any information that hasn’t been shared with us. Every piece of information is helpful in our investigation.”
Fisher was stabbed to death at the Crane nightclub Digbeth just before midnight, 26/12.
He was a semi professional footballer for Stratford Town Football Club.
Fisher’s family has described him as “the purest soul”, “awesome”, and a “best friend”; his girlfriend Jess Chatwin called him that. Pledge to get justiceTo the love and joy of my life.”
“I’m so sorry, baby, you don’t deserve this,” she wrote via social media. “My whole world, the love of my life, my best friend. I don’t know how I would live without you.”
Ms. Chatwin stated, “There are many things we won’t be able to do right now.” I promise to do all I can to get you the justice that you deserve. It doesn’t feel real. I love you forever Cody Fisher.”
Fisher’s school said Tuesday that everyone was devastated to hear about the tragic and untimely death of this talented young man.
