The telecoms giant will merge its Global and Enterprise wings and create a single organization called BT Business. This organization will be focused on business-to-business relationships.

BT Enterprise is the market leader with a 30% market share. It provides connectivity for businesses and the public sector. BT Global serves many large companies around the globe.

Its products serve corporate clients, public sector bodies and businesses, and expect significant cost savings of around £100m by 2025.

Announcing the formation of BT Business, Philip Jansen, BT Group CEO, said: “By combining the two units, BT Business will bring the Group’s assets, products, capabilities and brand to service all of our 1.2 million business customers who will benefit from innovation and delivery. Faster. Bass is an outstanding leader. I am confident that he will build upon the plans already in place and bring the business back to growth.
