Bitcoin was trading at $16,880 this morning, after briefly crossing $17,000 in the early hours. Yesterday’s price surge added 2.31%.
Ethereum also quickly escaped the gates today, rising 4.40% to $1,265. This means that Ethereum trades 8.9% higher today than it did last week.
The third-generation cryptocurrency markets seem to have lost some of their momentum. Cardano traded flat for $0.3141 and Solana fell 0.21%. Hands trading at $13.67.
The Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is the focus of all eyes today. Investors will be watching closely for any hint of a future rate increase in Powell’s speech about the outlook for the US economy.
