The West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed the one-year-old man was in critical condition. The other two, a woman and a man, were being treated for serious injuries.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said that three ambulances, two emergency medical technicians, a trauma doctor, and two critical care paramedics were dispatched on the scene.

Crew arrived on the scene and found a man in critical condition. They administered life support to him before he was taken to the hospital.

“Two other patients, a man and a woman, were treated by ambulance staff for serious injuries before being taken to hospital for further care.”

Local buses that normally pass through the cordoned-off area are diverted, including the 11C or 74.

Workers were told that they couldn’t go to shops or businesses in the vicinity of the attack. They had to return home.

Birmingham Live, which has an editor at the scene, stated that the stabbings likely affected “around 100” businesses.

This is an estimate. The cordon covers more than half of a mile, and there are many businesses and shops within.
