Ontario Duo Create Faith-Based Trauma Recovery Programme for Women

A mother-daughter team from Ontario has launched TERP For Women, a faith-based programme designed to help women find deep and lasting healing from trauma.

Founded by Darlyne DuBonnet-Beachey and her daughter Victoria DuBonnet, TERP For Women is a structured recovery process rooted in faith and holistic healing. The programme, known as the Traumatic Emotional Recovery Process (TERP), focuses on rebuilding lives through spiritual alignment, self-identity, and emotional restoration.

Darlyne, a Registered Nurse with nearly 40 years of experience in mental health, elder care, and holistic therapies, brings her expertise as a Clinical Medical Herbalist and Acupuncture therapist to the programme. Since opening the Laurier Herbal Clinic & Lifestyle Centre in 2005, she has championed a natural and balanced approach to health. Living on a hobby farm in Northern Ontario with her husband, Darlyne’s love for wildcrafting and herbal remedies influences the programme’s holistic foundation.

For Victoria, her journey to co-creating TERP For Women stems from personal struggles with grief and health challenges. “Even though I’d been a Christian since I was five years old, a series of losses left me feeling stripped of my identity and purpose,” she explains.

Her lowest point came during a period of immense personal loss and overwhelming pressures, leaving her bedridden with chronic fatigue, anxiety, and depression. “Despite a commitment to health, I found myself in a place where I couldn’t fulfil my education, work responsibilities, or athletic pursuits,” she recalls.

While therapy offered some relief, Victoria felt she wasn’t addressing the root of her issues. Turning to scripture and prayer, she sought spiritual alignment and rebuilt her sense of self-worth. “I realised that I had to rediscover my value and purpose outside of what I could do or achieve,” she says.

Victoria’s healing journey became the basis for a structured, five-step recovery process, which she and Darlyne transformed into the TERP For Women programme. Together, they focus on addressing the root causes of trauma. “Our motto, ‘Remove and Restore before you Rebuild,’ reflects the importance of tackling unresolved pain before moving forward,” says Darlyne.

The programme combines expertise in medical herbalism, nutrition, and Biblical healing principles. “We designed a simple, supportive system to create personalised trauma recovery plans,” Victoria explains.

Using a body-soul-spirit approach, TERP For Women focuses on building a foundation of identity, intrinsic value, and purpose, helping participants break free from cycles of unresolved trauma. “We’ve seen the transformative power of this approach,” says Darlyne. “When people align with God’s principles, true healing is possible.”

Victoria’s journey from struggle to becoming a coach and Christian Trauma Removal Specialist is at the heart of TERP For Women. “Through this programme, I can walk alongside others in their healing, helping them rediscover their purpose and align with their Creator,” she says.

With weekly coaching calls, a strong community, and practical teachings, TERP For Women provides the support women need to overcome trauma and live confident, God-centred lives.
