Spacewell Energy Emerges as the Rebranded Dexma, Expanding Globally with Over 10,000 Customers in 35 Countries

Dexma, a prominent provider of intelligent energy management tools for buildings, retail, and industry, has announced its transformation into Spacewell Energy. This new name encompasses all of the company’s projects, both domestically in Spain and internationally.

Following its acquisition by multinational company Spacewell in 2020, Spacewell Energy aims to solidify its position as a leader in efficient energy management in Europe while actively seeking growth in new international markets.

Spacewell Energy offers a data-driven energy intelligence management tool. Its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution empowers facility and property managers, energy service providers, and consultants to report on energy consumption, analyze usage patterns and inefficiencies, and detect real-time anomalies. The platform enables businesses to optimize the energy efficiency of their buildings and reduce carbon emissions.

Automated energy data management solutions play a crucial role in minimizing the environmental impact of organizations and building portfolios. By leveraging artificial intelligence, these tools generate predictive insights into building behavior, leading to reduced energy costs, improved monitoring of natural resource usage, and enhanced overall building performance.

Spacewell Energy: Addressing New Organizational Challenges

The adoption of the new corporate name marks the completion of the integration process that commenced in 2020 when Dexma merged with Spacewell, a technology company formerly associated with the Nemetschek multinational corporation. Xavi Novella, recently appointed as the Managing Director of Spacewell Energy, stated, “The world, technology, and organizational needs are evolving, and at Spacewell Energy, we strive to meet these new challenges while respecting the progress we have made thus far and looking towards the future with optimism and a commitment to continued growth.”

Expanding Internationally for Wider Impact

With a customer base exceeding 10,000 across 35 countries, particularly in the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Benelux, and Italy, Spacewell Energy is experiencing significant growth in 2022, with a 24% increase in software license sales. To strengthen customer relationships and drive further expansion, the company will maintain its headquarters in Barcelona while expanding its presence in Europe and other global markets. This international growth strategy involves establishing new teams in the Benelux countries, the United States, France, Germany, India, and the Nordic countries.

Technology Empowering Energy Efficiency

Amidst rising energy prices and inflation, Spacewell Energy’s solutions enable real-time data exploitation to generate comprehensive reports on energy consumption, including anomalies, inefficiencies, and usage patterns. By leveraging this information, businesses can achieve energy savings of up to 20%.

Over 40% of Spacewell Energy’s workforce is dedicated to designing and developing energy management solutions. The company is committed to supporting businesses and organizations in adopting more responsible energy consumption practices, leading to cost savings and a reduction in their carbon footprint.
