The PASS Initiative by INTO: Streamlining US Visa Success for Global Learners

INTO University Partnerships is revolutionizing the US visa application process for international students with its pioneering Pre-Arrival Success Services (PASS) initiative. Targeted towards regions where obtaining a visa presents substantial obstacles, this programme stands as a beacon of hope for aspiring students.

The PASS initiative is an embodiment of INTO University Partnerships’ commitment to providing detailed visa assistance and support to international students with dreams of studying in the US. This invaluable service, which is offered free of charge, has been a cornerstone for over 2000 students from a myriad of countries including India, Vietnam, Pakistan, Turkey, Kenya, Bangladesh, Nigeria, and Kazakhstan, facilitating their journey towards securing F-1 visas.

What elevates the PASS initiative above conventional visa advisory services is its immersive approach to interview preparation, delivered by a team of seasoned advisors. This holistic support system includes personalized mock interviews, interactive workshops, and extensive webinars that cover the gamut of the visa application procedure.

Highlighting the personalized support framework, Jacquie Serr, Vice President of Enrolment at INTO University Partnerships, noted: “When it comes to a students’ enrolment journey, it is vital that we meet them where they are, offering support and services in areas of high stress. The US visa process and how decisions are made on an F-1 visa can be confusing for students and their families to navigate. What makes PASS different is that we take the time to work individually with students – each student, their goals and background are unique, and so is each 1:1 session our advisors have with students. Human interaction is important here, not just for visa success but for student success.”

Laura Nye, Manager of the PASS Initiative, emphasized the initiative’s foundational aim: “The US international student visa application and interview is a complicated and challenging process for many students. Our primary goal with the PASS program is to build students’ confidence throughout the visa process as they prepare to embark on their academic journey in the US.”

Launched in 2020 to aid students from countries with traditionally low visa approval rates, the PASS initiative has rapidly grown into an essential support mechanism, greatly enhancing the likelihood of visa approval for its participants.

The initiative’s webinars thoroughly explore various critical aspects, from the intricacies of the F1 visa application to a meticulous review of documents, followed by a Q&A session that allows students to engage and clarify their doubts.

Expanding on the initiative’s extensive offerings, Laura Nye stated: “Our program is designed to cover every aspect of the US visa process for students. We provide students with comprehensive information and the opportunity to address any concerns or questions they may have. We also facilitate connections with student experience teams at our partner universities and provide insights into campus resources. This ensures a smooth transition into university life, where students can leverage the available support.”

The PASS initiative also includes one-to-one mock interview sessions with INTO’s US visa specialists, ensuring students are meticulously prepared for their visa interviews by bolstering their confidence and articulating their academic goals clearly.

Students such as Emmanuel, Muhammed, and Pablo have highlighted the significant impact the PASS initiative had on their preparedness and confidence, leading to successful outcomes in their visa interviews.

This impactful initiative has also been recognized by INTO’s US-based partner institutions, which have seen a boost in campus diversity through the inclusion of skilled international students.

Officials from The University of Alabama and INTO Hofstra University, Vince Milam and Oscar Del Rio, respectively, have applauded the PASS initiative for its critical role in preparing students for the visa interview process, underscoring its invaluable support.

Since its inception, INTO University Partnerships has played a pivotal role in connecting over 150,000 students from 180 countries with top-tier educational institutions in the US, UK, and Australia, helping them achieve their academic goals.
