Young people who are due to leave school in the summer and adults who want to improve their skills can talk to tutors about courses on offer at City of Wolverhampton College at an open day this Saturday, 14 January.
The college’s campuses at Paget Road, in Compton, and Wellington Road, in Bilston, will be open from 10am to 2pm for people to enrol for part-time courses starting during the month, as well as sign up for full-time courses and university-level higher education programmes starting in September 2023 and find out about apprenticeship opportunities with employers in the local area.
Visitors will be able to talk to tutors about courses available, tour the campus facilities, take part in activities related to the subject they are interested in studying and talk to current students about college life, as well as get careers advice and details of financial support to help with college costs.
Parents and carers accompanying students to the event can drop-in to interactive workshops to pick up tips on how to support young people with their learning, including developing positive study habits, revision strategies and time management techniques.
