- Unveiling coincides with Eid Al Etihad celebrations
Emaar Properties has introduced a state-of-the-art façade lighting upgrade for the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Featuring an advanced RGBW lighting system, the new setup combines technological innovation with architectural splendour. This transformation will debut on 1 December 2024, as part of the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad festivities, ahead of the tower’s 15th anniversary on 4 January 2025.
The revamped lighting creates a dazzling spectrum of colours and effects, enhancing the tower’s presence while reinforcing Dubai’s global reputation for innovation and design brilliance.
The extensive upgrade involved six months of testing to ensure flawless implementation. Replacing static lighting with dynamic, addressable fixtures, the RGBW system enables intricate lighting displays. These displays, ranging from routine illuminations to festive celebrations, seamlessly integrate with the Burj Khalifa’s media screen while maintaining its renowned architectural integrity.
