Inga Grigaitiene, owner of A & B Guest House in Cambridge, celebrates 20 years in the hospitality industry, a journey defined by adaptability and excellence.

Starting with traditional advertising in the Yellow Pages, Inga’s approach has evolved with the digital age, now managing a strong online presence through booking platforms and social media.

Throughout her career, Inga has navigated economic challenges, the COVID-19 pandemic, and increasing competition. Despite these pressures, A & B Guest House achieved full summer occupancy and received the e2 Media Award of Excellence.

Cambridge, once a hub for business travellers, has shifted towards international leisure tourism. “Businesspeople used to fill our rooms mid-week, but now it’s predominantly international visitors,” Inga noted, reflecting on the post-pandemic changes.

In a market crowded with short-term rentals like Airbnbs, Inga has ensured her guest house remains competitive, hosting celebrities, dignitaries, and political figures while earning high praise on Booking.com.

Commenting on her achievement, Inga said: “The past few years have been particularly challenging with the pandemic and rising costs, but they’ve also taught me the importance of staying flexible and embracing change. I’ve had to make some tough business decisions, but those changes have allowed me to keep delivering exceptional service.
