The new datAshur PRO+C, equipped with a Type-C interface, is the world’s first and only flash drive pending the new FIPS 140-3 Level 3 validation scheme. This certification provides robust assurances regarding its data security credentials.
The user-friendly datAshur PRO+C is a USB 3.2 (Gen 1) Type-C flash drive that combines speed, ease of use, and the highest level of security measures. It utilises PIN protection and hardware encryption to safeguard data to military-grade standards. Available in various capacities ranging from 32GB to 512GB, this innovative device comes with a USB Type-C to Type-A adapter to ensure compatibility with evolving USB interfaces.
The FIPS certification, globally recognised as a benchmark in US government data security, signifies that devices have undergone rigorous testing procedures and meet the highest encryption algorithm and data protection standards. The new FIPS 140-3 standard includes requirements for physical tamper-resistance and identity-based authentication, further enhancing the security of certified devices.
The datAshur PRO+C incorporates advanced security features to ensure complete data security and maximum protection at all times. It features a built-in rechargeable battery, allowing users to enter an 8-15 digit PIN using the onboard keypad before connecting the device to a USB port. Without the user’s unique PIN, the datAshur PRO+C remains inaccessible, providing peace of mind in case of loss or theft.
With independent user and admin PINs, the datAshur PRO+C is well-suited for corporate and government deployments. In the event of a forgotten user PIN, the drive can be unlocked using the admin PIN, allowing the user to set a new PIN.
Additionally, the datAshur PRO+C is designed to defend against brute-force attacks. If the user PIN is entered incorrectly 10 consecutive times, the user PIN will be deleted. While all data remains on the device, it can only be accessed by entering the admin PIN. However, if the admin PIN is entered incorrectly 10 times, the PIN, encryption key, and data will be permanently lost, and the device will return to factory default settings.
