Brian Walsh, husband to the missing MassachusettsAfter New Year’s Eve’s disappearance, Anna Walsh is being accused of murder.
Michael Morrissey, Norfolk County District attorney, said Tuesday in a video statement that his office had been “involved with an extensive investigation into Anna Walsh’s fate” since she was reported missing in January 4.
The DA said that earlier in the investigation, police found sufficient evidence “to believe her husband Brian Walsh, 47, misled police investigators regarding important material matters to search Anna Walsh.”
Morrissey stated, “He has pleaded guilty to these charges” and is currently held at the Norfolk County Correctional Institution. “An ongoing investigation allowed the police to obtain an warrant for Brian Walsh’s arrest in connection with the murder of his wife.”
Mr Morrissey said that Mr Walsh would be taken “to the Quincy County Courthouse to face charges.” [on] charge of premeditated murder.”
The Ministry of Defense stated that it was likely that evidence supporting these charges would be presented at trial. However, this information will not be made public.
The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office indicated that the lawsuit could be filed at 9 a.m. ET on Wednesday CNN mentioned.
The office stated in a press release that the charge was “dependent upon the availability of a defence attorney.”
Mrs. Walsh was last seen 2 weeks ago, on the 1st day of the new Year. A few days later, she was reported missing.
The mother of three was due to return to Washington, D.C., for New Year’s Day. She worked at a high-end residential real estate firm.
Police say that there is no evidence that she took part in the planned flight to Boston’s Logan Airport. She has not been seen since January 1st.
On January 4, her husband and her superiors reported her missing. Police launched an investigation into the property and home of the family in Cohasset in Massachusetts and Chevy Chase in Washington.
Her husband, who was convicted for art fraud, was taken into custody Jan. 8, for obstructing an investigation by police. Prosecutors said so. Traces of blood and a knife were found in the basement of her family’s home.
Later, it was revealed that Walsh searched the Internet for two laws on “how to get rid a 115-pound woman’s body”. Law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation told CNNPurchased $450 worth of cleaning supplies, mops and duct tape from a nearby Home Depot on Jan 2.
