Double dip
Before you start to say anything: I’m sure it’s crazy trying to predict Nintendo. I wouldn’t have expected them to be like this, but you can try to figure out when they plan to launch Switch 2. The first time I heard about Zelda theory: Tears Of The Kingdom, the last big title for the current console, was in Reader feature. Reader Carbona deserves my appreciation. I believe they allowed it to be. However, I am now seeing rumors from reliable sources that this may be what is happening.
Although I doubt they do, it seems like a natural place to draw the line below an existing console. Then, get something fancy for the launch with Tears Of The Kingdom Switch 2. It makes perfect sense to me. It’s a great way for Nintendo to showcase the new console’s improvements. But the problem is that Nintendo will not make the upgrade free. Although I doubt it, would they be deceitful enough to not offer any discount? We’ll just have to wait and watch.
Double dipping is likely to be a chargeable activity, so I expect a late launch next year. They don’t want Zelda released and then have to ship people out for another one. They would love to do that, but they also have to see the bad optics.
No, I believe the Switch 2 launch will be Christmas 2024. We won’t likely hear anything about it until the summer. This is what I expect. We have only 15 months to find out if it is true.

So, it seems. Ubisoft is in real trouble, Verse? All the cancellations and delays. Now it seems like they are desperate to sell them before everything goes down. But who wants them anyway? I don’t know if I am Microsoft, Sony, or any other person I care about. While Assassin’s Creed may be a great game, it’s not what I would call a prestige franchise. It’s a good-selling game, but not great.
They have spent years creating the same game over and again. Now it is up to them to take a bite. Her answer to a drop in sales should have been to create something entirely new. They need a new IP that doesn’t just deal with an existing IP, but a new idea they can connect with.
If they are really in panic mode, it’s probably too late. I don’t see the need to rely on live service games to save them. I don’t know which one is going and which one is coming, and I don’t want to know. Ubisoft is not something I want to see as a EA subsidiary, or what-have-you, but in this situation they have no one else to blame than themselves.

Diversification point
Ubisoft is in serious financial trouble, so I don’t see much sympathy. However, I want to say that I love the Assassin’s creed franchise and all of their other games.
There are many sequels. But you can’t say that most of the Far Cry, Assassin’s Creed and Rainbow Six games aren’t as good. It’s hard to know when to stop and when to start something new. However, I can assure you that I will still be interested in sequels in all those franchises.
I don’t understand why these publishers don’t try harder. They can’t have one flop every few year and be so poor, but Activision is the largest third party publisher in all of the world and only makes one game.

Technical question
Anyone who doesn’t care much about building PCs can probably skip this post but god help me, I’m toying with the idea of upgrading my PC and things seem to have progressed since I built my current setup. I needed advice from your wise men.
I have been using the 750W power supply with CPU air cooler rated 150W TDP for the past few years and will continue to use my GTX 3070 graphics cards for at least a few years. I needed a CPU tip (do not mind if it’s AMD, Intel) to pair this GPU. If you decide to upgrade to a faster graphics card, the 750W PSU will give you plenty of headroom.
We appreciate all the replies. Sorry to all who are unable to bear the thought of seeing any of these messages.

The next generation of classics
Bloodborne is my favorite PlayStation exclusive. Returnal is a constant on the list. Although there are some flaws, I found the story and audio to be excellent. Celine was a great progress (not praised enough, in my opinion). If I had to rate the moment to moment gunplay, it would get a straight 10/10.
Carnage’s unwritten beauty is what really stands out to my mind. It’s like a classic first-person shooter, but with a fully 3D world. This was Housemarque’s first attempt at real success. I can’t believe they have a brand-new IP address.

Variable achievements
With the current chat about Trophies/Achievements, I thought I’d share two recent experiences I’ve had with Platinum Trophies, which show how I find positive and negative Trophies.
First, I became a Platinum Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One member. However, this required me to solve cases in specific ways and choose certain outcomes for rewards. I found myself spoiling the game by providing clues to avoid missing requirements and determining the guilt or innocence, as well as obtaining rewards. I know this was not necessary, but I felt compelled to win and ruin my experience.
I also recently unlocked Hot Wheels platinum. I was able to improve the game, win more events, and complete faster time trials. This was a far better experience than simply passing events with the minimum progression requirements. It gave me a real sense if accomplishment and without the praises I might not be motivated to do it.
These two games demonstrate to me that it really depends on what type of game you play and what prizes you offer, as to whether they enhance or hinder my gaming experience.

Lead form
Why would anyone buy Final Fantasy 16 on a PC? Because the format isn’t popular in Japan, the ports are almost always the worst. Even though the producer may have been joking, I would definitely buy a PlayStation 5 to play Final Fantasy 16.
Some games are not compatible with certain formats. Final Fantasy was built for consoles. I wouldn’t recommend it to a PC, any more than Crusader Kings would on a console.

Class war
Although I don’t know what it all means, this is an interesting way to think about it. The Xbox Series X isn’t the primary console for most people. Although I was surprised by the differences with the PlayStation 5, I think it makes sense to assume that more casual PlayStation users only have one console.
The most important thing about it is that it shows that the Xbox is not secondary in the minds and hearts of those who have it. To me, it comes down to exclusives. I don’t like any of the games at the moment. Forza may be great, but I’m not interested. I’m also not excited about any of the announcements so far.
Fable has never looked so good, Starfield may be another buggy mess, Call Of Duty might be more popular than Call Of Duty, but it’s not as ambitious. The Xbox range lacks class, the Xbox hardware in its entirety isn’t as ‘stylish’ as the PlayStation, and in fact I think the success it’s had up to this point rests on it being the place to go for dumb shooters and sports games.
This is not a judgement of those who play it (I also had an Xbox 360!) However, the culture and attitude remain ingrained. I don’t know if it was intentional, but based on the types of companies Microsoft bought, I don’t see any real attempt at changing it.

Am I the only one shocked to learn that Hogwarts Legacy is now the most-sold paid game on Steam? Even though it was not released yet? Even without JK Rowlings hard work, you would think that Fantastic Beats movies would have shown people no longer care about Harry Potter.

So, what do you think the chances are of Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp being launched this year?
