Steven Spielberg’s “The Fabelmans,” and black comedy “The Banshees of Inisherin,” won the top cinematic accolades at this year’s Golden Globes. The scandal has forced Hollywood to re-enter the televised program.
The award for Best Motion Picture Drama went to “The Fabelmans,” a touching story about Spielberg’s teenage years.
Colin Farrell was also nominated for a lead role in a comedy or musical for his portrayal of Padric, a man who tries to mend a strained relationship in the Irish black comedy “The Banshees of Inisherin.”
The dark comedy, which is based upon a friendship’s feud on an Irish Island, won Best Motion Picture Musical/Comedy.
Farrell thanked his castmates, including Jenny the Ass.
Austin Butler, the young star of “Elvis,” was awarded Best Actor in Dramatic Motion Picture for his portrayal of rock legend Elvis Presley. He seemed overwhelmed by the honor in front so many prominent names in showbusiness.
Butler stated, “I’m here with all my heroes,” “I can’t believe it’s possible that I’m actually here.
“Brad (Pete), you are my best friend. Quentin (Tarantino), when I was twelve, I wrote my ‘Pulp Fiction’ script.
