Bentley set a new sales record by delivering more than 15,000 cars, the first time it has done so in its 104-year history.
The luxury automaker sold 15,174 vehicles over the past 12 month — an increase of 4% from the record levels for 2021.
The introduction of new models, as well as increased demand for vehicle customization, drove significant growth.
Bentley’s best-selling SUV, the Bentayga, still accounts for 42 percent.
The luxury SUV was followed closely by the convertible grand tourer and Continental Grand Tourer, which accounted to a third of all sales.
“In another year of unpredictability, the company has weathered significant headwinds and demonstrated great resilience to achieve record sales for the third year in a row,” said Adrian Hallmark, Bentley CEO.
“The numbers are confirmation that we not only lead the sector in sales and market share, but also invest in electrified technologies and commit to being carbon neutral in 2030.”
Bentley’s Beyond 100 strategy was announced in 2020. It aims to make the transition to battery-only models by 2030.
