Nato chief: “Ramp up” arms production to defend Ukraine from the Kremlin

NATO’s chief has stated that the West must “step up” weapon production in the next months to ensure Ukraine is fully supplied in its fight against Russia.

Jens Stoltenberg said the conflict consumes “a huge amount”. There are indications that President Vladimir Putin is digging for “long distances” in the field of munitions.

He said that NATO allies need to preserve their state Stockpiles of weapons, as well as continued supply to the government in Kyiv.

“This is a huge task. We need to increase production.This is exactly what NATO allies do.
