Harry and Meghan were first to choose South Africa and New Zealand.
The fifth episode of Netflix’s Harry & Meghan showed their plans to move abroad.
According to the couple, they tried to move to New Zealand in 2018 and then to South Africa where they volunteered a lot.
The couple spent Christmas 2019 together in Canada. Harry stated that when he spoke with King Charles, Prince of Wales at the moment, the family knew they wanted them to leave.
Harry said, “Can I write it down?” He replied that he couldn’t do anything unless it were written down. It was in email.
“In one of those, I said that we would be willing to give our Sussex titles up if it didn’t turn out.” That was the plan.
He also talks about how his grandmother, Queen, was his first love, but this didn’t happen.
Then he added, “The palace has agreed that we should move to South Africa. My father’s office knew about it, my brother’s office knew about it, and my grandmother’s office knew about it.”
“No one knew it was an internal document. Then it was released. This plan was then leaked.
