After the House Committee voted on January 6 to refer him to the Justice Department, the one-term president moved over to Truth Social.
The Commission ruled that charges should now be brought against the accused for alleged violations of at most five different sections of the United StateCriminal Law
Trump became the first US president to be impeached two times, despite failing the threshold of two-thirds required for his conviction in US Senate.
“The bogus charges brought by the unelected Jan. 6 caucus caucus committee have already been filed, prosecuted, and prosecuted in the form of Impeachment Hoax #2. You win convincingly. Double jeopardy to anyone!” Mr. Trump wrote on Truth Social on Monday.
The panel unanimously voted to refer the panel’s findings to Justice Department special Counsel Jack Smith. Smith is currently overseeing investigations into Trump’s attempts to overturn his loss in 2020 to Joe Biden.
Smith is also responsible for overseeing the investigation into Trump’s possession of classified information Mar-a-Lago Property.
“These people do not understand that when they come after me, people who love freedom gather around me. It strengthens me,” Mr. Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger. Americans know that I sent 20,000 soldiers to prevent violence on January 6th, that I went on TV and told everyone to go home.”
He said that the FBI was targeting his efforts to stop him winning the 2024 presidential elections. In which he declared that he would be running for the Republican Party.
“People know that the Bureau of Democratic Investigation (the DBI) is out to stop my candidacy for president. They know I’m going win, and this whole business of going after is just like impeachment – a partisan attempt at marginalizing me and the Republican Party.”
