“We had some injuries, lost Aguerd during the warm-up, Saiss and Mazraoui…but there’s no excuses.

We were punished for even the smallest error. We didn’t prepare well for the match, we had technical waste in the first and second halfs, which killed us. However, it doesn’t mean that we have lost everything we did in the tournament.

This was too much. There were many players who were at 60-70% fitness. The players gave everything. They have gone as far and beyond what they can. We will continue to support France.

France will be the first team to retain the World Cup after Brazil’s wins in 1958 and 1962, if they win Sunday’s final at Stade Lusail.
