Gillian Goodsell meets CryptoHub founder Eliran Ozan — an entrepreneur who believes crypto 10 years behind Web2.
Eliran Ozan shared two key observations at the start of our conversation. The first is that Web3 gave him a sense of community and the ability to interact with projects.
Web3 project supporters make a real impact on a project – their voices can be heard,” he says.
“They can communicate directly with the founders and in some cases vote directly on the direction of the project. Web2 doesn’t allow this. For example, I might think Facebook is cool but if I have shares (unless I have a lot) I have no influence on how The company is managed.”
The second observation is that, while technology is powerful, marketing is not.
“Web3 began as a technically inspired philosophy with a focus on technology. Even after 13 years and growing momentum, marketing is still far from traditional Web2 companies.”
This could be due to the amount of money involved. Sometimes, there is a lot of money being created, shared, and sometimes dumped. People can become lazy if they have lots of money. They can make use of one or two core concepts – the original idea behind a beer mat – and use that to stir the community, raise funds and then figure out how they will spend it.
It is similar to the One Coin Ponzi scam that is still being used in some parts of the globe despite its widespread vilification, disappearance of the founder with warrants for her head and the popularity of a BBC Podcast covering the rise and fall Ruja Ignatova, also known as the Crypto Queen. Jamie Barlett, podcast author, said that the podcast’s popularity has encouraged a resurgence of the scam. It calls for belief except that the core of one currency is the same as Bitcoin, but without the money — belief in financial security for all.
Also, very precise weight notes. He believes cryptocurrency is the right time, but he needs real marketing help. This is where he comes in. Its timing is perfect, with a summer full of central malfunctions and rug pulls, as well as bad guys. People can pull the rug from the floor if they don’t have the data. People can make informed decisions if they have access to the data.
Ozan started his career as web designer and moved to computers at the age of 12. At the age of 15, he was an entrepreneur and had two websites which he was proud to have created significant passive income.
“It didn’t turn me into a lambo man,” he says, referring to the one thing cryptocurrency bros are supposed to buy once they get their first half of a million. “I reinvested it in my business.
“I focused on learning internet marketing, SEO, PPC, and some coding. I even worked at Google for a year, mostly remotely.”
Moonshot, an affiliate marketing firm, was founded by him at 23 years old. It employs hundreds of people in Israel and abroad and generates millions in revenue every year. Exon media, today Amazon’s largest subsidiary, was his next great success. Its success can also be attributed to algorithms and big-data. It can be measured and understood if it can be measured.
Next stop: Encoder. Ozan puts his passion behind every decision he makes. He began cryptocurrency trading with Shlomi Bazil (CTO of Coinscan), a CryptoHub company. He worked 12 hours per day at his craft.
However, I quickly realized that Encryption was ten years behind Web2 in terms data, data access, and marketing. Retail users trading cryptocurrencies have not had access to good data, despite the transparent, open view of the sector.”
Ozan is now back to the community that attracted him to the Strip.
“In crypto when you buy a token, you become part of a community. Although hundreds, if not thousands of people are attracted, it’s not only for the money. They also do everything possible to promote the token. But to help (in the project and yourself) you need to accurate data hence the idea of Coinscan.”
Coinscan, CryptoHub’s first graphing platform, is very fast and secure. Ozan has managed to take the company to $7 million to date. Most of that money has been spent on the hiring of the best developers. He isn’t in hurry but is looking to find other investors who can bring more than money.
Coinscan’s speed is what sets it apart from other price charting sites for tokens. Coinscan gathers transaction data directly through the memepool, making it the only site that displays real-time pending transactions and developer transactions. It currently only provides data for ERC 20 tokens, but will soon cover all tokens.
All changes and analyses are displayed in real-time. We can even link social media platforms to each token. This allows us to collect a real time feed to the website.
This gives you a complete overview of all transactions and any suspicious activity by developers or token contract owners. It not only addresses potentially harmful behavior but also provides all the information that traders, both novice and experienced, need in one screen.
“We want to provide all the relevant data on one platform but also explain the meaning behind the data so that beginners can understand what they are seeing. I used to trade with seven to eight screens open simultaneously. With Coinscan, everything is on one screen.
Ouzan’s vision for Web3 is to integrate his Web2 marketing (specifically SEO and PPC) into Web3.
People rely more on influencers to shill projects than on data. We want to provide them with data – data that is accurate, fast, and easy to understand.
Ouzan is a pragmatic and practical investor, who can bring more to the table than just investing. It will also be a fintech fund. While it won’t refuse money from non-technical investors, it is not in hurry to accept it.
Coinscan is available, but Ozan has not yet paid it. It receives approximately 100,000 visitors each month via organic traffic.
“I wait until I’m 100% happy with the site before we hit the marketing button. Cryptocurrency market conditions also advise caution.”
While history can only guide us, it is likely that Ozan will press the button. You can still visit the site. Coinscan.com — or you can reach Ouzan directly on Telegram at his nickname, @Snopel.
