Julian Knight, Conservative MP for the party, stated that the party had removed the party whip following a complaint to Metropolitan Police.
Simon Hart, chief whip of the Tory party, removed Knight’s whip from Parliamentary party. Knight is now suspended and not a member of House of Commons as Conservative after the complaint was filed on Wednesday.
Knight is Chairman, Digital, Cultural, Media, and Sport Committee and has represented Solihull since 2015.
A spokeswoman for Chief Whip said that MP Julian Knight’s whip was being removed by the Metropolitan Police immediately following a complaint.
She declined to comment on details of the complaint, as it is currently under investigation.
