As concerns grow about hate speech, senior European officials have warned Elon to follow his rules.

Thierry Breton, EU Commissioner for Digital Policy, has informed the new owner of social media that he will need more protection efforts.

The Digital Services Act, which will be in effect next year, was introduced by the conglomerate. This Act aims at updating regulations regarding advertising and misinformation.

The big brussels dog called the video chat with muskBreton tweeted this week, “An enormous amount of work remains. Twitter will have to implement transparent policies, significantly strengthen content moderation, and combat misinformation.”

French President Emmanuel Macron also criticised “Chef Twight”, calling Musk’s leadership a “huge issue”.

“The limit is that you can’t take to the streets and have racist speech or anti-Semitic speech, you can’t endanger someone else’s life. Violence is never legitimate in a democracy,” Macron said in an interview on ABC.

The news comes as the UK’s Online Safety Bill is due to return to Parliament next Wednesday.

Recent removal of the controversial “legal and harmful” clause by the government was due to its potential threat to freedom expression.
