The chancellor, who voted for Remain in the 2016 referendum, insisted that the UK could have “tremendous success” leaving the EU.
He stated that it was important to look at the effects of Brexit “in all its aspects” and that Brexit has “costs and opportunities”.
Hunt, along with Laura Koensberg, told the BBC Sunday that he would discuss “some of the methods in which we can achieve success” in Thursday’s fall statement.
Hunt was asked if he denied that Brexit had slowed UK’s economic growth at home. He replied: “What I don’t accept is that Brexit will make us less wealthy.”

Twitter users remind us that Richard Hughes (head of OBR) stated last year, that Brexit would lower the UK’s GDP potential by 4% over the long term.
Mark Carney, the former Governor of the Bank of England, doubled down last week on his claims that the move had caused a decline in the pound. This suggests that the UK’s financial woes are not over.
Downing Street suggested Rishi Sunak wasn’t working on the “clear choice” made by the British people six decades ago.
