Twitter employees face massive job losses after Musk acquisition

Twitter could lose up to half its 7,500-strong workforce, while Elon Musk considers ways to make the company “healthy.”

According to Financial Times reports, insiders say that the billionaire plans to eliminate about 3,700 jobs at the social networking company.

It was also reported that Tesla founder Elon Musk is planning to reverse the current remote work policy and force employees to report to the office every Monday.

After getting it TwitterMusk had already made some dramatic changes just a week before.

He has not only led the majority of the senior leadership team including Twitter chief ParagAgrawal, but he has also announced controversial projects such as plans to offer an $8 per month subscription service.

Musk made it clear that he wanted to make the company “healthy” when he bought it in a $44billion deal.

Advertisers also worry that Musk might also seek to relax content moderation regulations.

Twitter appealed to brands in an email this week to a media agency and seen by The Financial Times to “bear us as we go through this transformation.”
